The chief executive officer, Connected Development, a Civil Society Organisation, Ambassador Hamzat Lawal, has called on Nigerians to take ownership of the forthcoming National Census by coming out in mass to participate in the exercise in the interest of the country.
Lawal made the call Tuesday while speaking on the 2023 National Census in Lokoja, Kogi state.
He described the national population and household census as very critical, noting that for government to effectively plan for the citizens, they need the numbers of people in their various locations.
“Government cannot budget and plan if there is no accurate data and statistics of people and household.
