Inter Milan announced on Wednesday that the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a loss of 140 million euros ($133.9 million) for the 2021–22 season.
The deficit was almost 105 million euros less than the losses of the previous season's record-breaking campaign, which Inter claims was driven on by virus restrictions that continued for the first half of the previous campaign.
Revenue climbed by 75 million euros over the prior season, to 439.6 million euros.
If the end of the 2019–20 season (which continued into the following fiscal year as the pandemic devastated Europe) were not taken into consideration, the rise in revenue, according to Inter, would be 140 million euros.
The group's owner, Suning, "has previously explicitly reiterated his commitment to backing the group" by
